Today we are going to learn more about lowland gorillas, just as the author did when she was researching them for the book.
Before we read about gorillas let’s see what we think we already know about them.
Create a T-chart in our interactive notebooks. Turn to the next blank age in your interactive notebook to create this chart.
On the left side of the chart think of all the information you think you already know about gorillas. The information you write down can be from things you already read, TV programs, going to a zoo, or anything that is already in your brain. You don’t have to write your ideas in complete sentences. Simply use bullet points to hot your ideas on your chart.
We are going to watch a video on lowland gorilla and read a piece of informational text about lowland gorillas.
After we watch the video and read the informational text we will add more information to our T-chart.
